Route: Boy Scout Trail, first four miles in and back out
Leo's first real hike and he set the pace the entire day, which is to say we stopped every ten minutes so he could inspect a rock. Fair enough, honestly, some of the rocks were incredible. The heat came on fast after noon and we turned back before we meant to. No regrets. The desert doesn't negotiate.
